Be A Player! will host a Free Sports Physicals and ECG Screening event at Jones High School on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event is open to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade who need a sports physical and heart screening for participation in school athletics. Families are encouraged to attend early and take advantage of this important, no-cost opportunity to help ensure students are healthy and ready for the upcoming athletic season.

Cheney Elementary School Principal

Welcome to Cheney Elementary School – Home of the Vikings!

At Cheney, we believe every child deserves a safe, nutruting, and engaging environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally,. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure that each student is challenged to grow, supported with care, and celebrated for their unique strengths and talents. 

We are proud of our commitment to high standards, meaningful relationships, and a strong school community. Whether its through innovative classroom instruction, enrichment opportunities, or family engagement events, we aim to foster a love of learning and a sense of belonging for every student. 

As we partner with families and the greater community we encourage open communication, collaboration, and shared responsiblity for student success. Together, we can inspire greatness and guild a foundation that will carry our students far beyond the walls of our school.
